Courses are designed to give students the fundamentals in management as well as practical industrial and business insight in the Asia-Pacific region. In terms of specialty, courses offered by the department can be grouped into five areas:

1. Regional Economies and Industries

Students can have specialized instruction in industrial structure, industry policy, trade policy, science policy, investment, financial regulations, industrial competitiveness, and political and economic organizations in the Asia-Pacific region.

2. Worldwide Web of Chinese Business

Specialized instruction is in Chinese networking, Confucianism and business management, the effect of social net-working in regional economic development and industrial cluster, Chinese presence to the Southeast Asian economies, an evolution of society in the Asia-Pacific region, and the building of regional innovation system.

3. Multinational corporation management

Courses are given in international marketing, international financial management, knowledge management, interna-tional industrial competitiveness, strategic management, and investment strategy.

4. Industrial management

Students interested in this area can focus in operations research, operations management, business logistics, busi-ness analysis and diagnosis, science and technology management, product design and development, manufacturing engi-neering management, production automation, flexible manufacturing system, and total quality management.

5. Information management

Students choose this program may select commerce automation, electronic commerce, management information system, production and marketing information system, product information management, and research and development management.
